Overview

Gain a practical understanding of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Sites.

By taking this class, you will learn how to develop websites with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), using both the traditional AEM approach and the newer AEM Edge Delivery Services (EDS). You will begin by comparing the two development models and learning when each one fits a project. Then you will set up a development environment and explore the built-in tools that come with a local AEM service.

Throughout the course, you will become familiar with the architecture of the AEM Author service and learn how an EDS site is deployed and delivered. You will create a new site from scratch using best practices, then build custom components and blocks that content authors can use to assemble their pages. You will also learn how to prepare styles that define your site's look and feel, and how to write client-side JavaScript that keeps your pages fast and easy to maintain.

Your instructor will guide you through best practices and common pitfalls, so you can build AEM sites that authors enjoy working with. No. AEM Sites Development teaches you to build websites in Adobe Experience Manager. AEM Forms training covers designing and developing interactive forms.
